Tips From Beauty Pageant Coaches

Pageant interview questions

There are many different beauty pageants, in different locations and for different age groups. There are local beauty pageants, as well as regional, national and international competitions. Some are for young girls, and others are for teenagers, single adult women, married women, and some for more mature women who are over 35 or 40 years old.

Oftentimes the competitions for teens and adults focus on things like make up, hair styles, swim suit competitions, and personal interviews. The pageants can help develop public speaking skills, and increase self confidence and self esteem, especially in younger girls. Pageant coaching is an occupation that is becoming more popular, and pageant coaches have beauty pageant tips and tricks that can give their contestants an advantage over the competition.

Pageant coaching can include everything from make up, hair and wardrobe tips, to interview coaching for the question and answer portion of the contests. Many of the beauty pageants, for contestants of all ages, also include a talent competition. Training contestants for the talent portion, or hiring a qualified instructor or trainer can also be the responsibility of the pageant coach.
